The air ambulance landed in Crick this morning (Friday) after a man collapsed.

The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance received an emergency call at 10.45am this morning.

A spokesman said that a 62-year-old man who was litter picking by the side of the road near DIRFT had collapsed.

The air ambulance was called by the land ambulance to assist because there was a doctor on board.

The spokesman said the man was ‘suffering reduced consciousness’.

He was taken to University Hospital in Coventry for further treatment.
