The Rugby to Coventry route serves the villages of Dunchurch, Bourton on Dunsmore, Frankton, Birdingbury, Marton, Princethorpe, Stretton on Dunsmore and Ryton on Dunsmore.

From tomorrow (Monday), the route and timetable will be revised and all journeys on the service will now be numbered 580. The service will now be operated by Johnsons Excelbus.

Cllr Peter Butlin, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for Highways and Transport, said: “Travel De Courcey has been successfully providing this bus service on behalf of the county council for many years and we thank them for the professional way they have delivered this contract.

“The contract for this service has now been tendered and awarded to Johnsons Excelbus. Johnsons are also a good, reliable operator and have been successfully undertaking rural bus services for the county council in south Warwickshire in recent years, and we are sure they will continue to provide residents with a high standard of service.”
