STRICTLY Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke is coming to Rugby for a special one-night only event to help raise £10,000 for the air ambulance.
An Evening with Anton Du Beke will take place at the Benn Hall in Rugby on Thursday, April 7 where the TV star will talk about his life and career. Audience members will also have the chance to meet Anton, take photos and ask him questions.
The event has been organised by Linda Williamson, managing director of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, who is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in July. She is hoping to raise £10,000 for the air ambulance through the Anton night, as well as other fundraising events and donations.
Mrs Williamson said: “I am delighted that Anton is supporting my efforts for the air ambulance. It is a very important cause that is close to my heart. “I am 61 years old this year, drawing my pension and should be putting my feet up, but that’s too dull. I want to continue to achieve things and getting to the top of Kilimanjaro is next on my list. If I can do that and raise £10,000 for the Air Ambulance then it’s all good.
“Anton is a fabulous person to spend an evening with - he chats away to everyone and never leaves until every autograph is signed, that’s the kind of person you want helping you.”
Supporting Anton will be dancers from Jaide’s Stage Studios. For tickets (£15) call the Benn Hall on (01788) 541516. For VIP tickets call Linda on (01933) 441773 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
