Attempted burglary in Rowland Street, Rugby

POLICE in Rugby are appealing for witnesses following an attempted burglary in town.

On Friday at around 4pm a gang of three men smashed a first floor window at a house in Rowland Street, Rugby after climbing onto a flat roof.

Shortly afterwards the three men ran off and got onto a white car, possibly a Renault, which was parked in Rowland Road. The car drove off towards Avenue Road.

A white car matching the description of the one seen leaving Rowlands street was seen a short time later on the Rugby Relief Road heading towards the A45 at speed.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the locality of Rowland Street between 3.30pm and 4pm and anyone who saw a white car travelling at speed on Lawford Road (the Rugby relief road) or the A45 at shortly after 4pm.
