Attempted robbery at Rugby garage

TWO teenagers wearing scarves to cover their faces tried to rob a service station in Rugby.

Police are now appealing for witnesses following the attempted robbery at the Paddox Service Station in Hillmorton Road in the early hours of Tuesday this week.

Two males, both wearing scarves to cover their faces, walked into the garage just after 2.30am and asked the cashier for cigarettes.

When the cashier asked them to show proof of age identification one of the males went to the door, but the second one produced what is believed to be a hand gun and threatened the cashier before both teenagers ran away towards Aldi.

They are both described as being teenage white males and were both wearing white or cream scarves over their faces.

The cashier was shocked was shocked but not physically injured.
