Avon Valley in early GCSE celebration

Students and staff at Avon Valley are celebrating the GCSE exam results they received on Thursday, which included a large number of A*-A grades for the students who sat GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature in January.

In total, 108 students received an English result graded A*-C, with 40 students getting A*-A.

English Faculty Leader Ruth Davies said: “A sensational set of results from a brilliant group of students.”

Headteacher Alison Davies added: “We are absolutely delighted with the results achieved today. Our students, and staff, have worked very hard and I am very proud of their efforts. The students now need to continue their hard work as they prepare for the summer exams. They should have every confidence now after achieving such strong English results”
