A Big Strawberry Tea Party will raise money for Breast Cancer Care after the organiser recently lost her battle with the disease.

Gail Dunkley, 43, from Rugby, had been organising the event with friends when she passed away on July 21.

She was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and secondary bone cancer two years ago and raised awareness and funds throughout her struggle with the disease.

The event will go ahead in her memory on Saturday August 22 at The Bull, Clifton. It runs from 2pm to 6pm but organisers hope it will continue into the evening.

The party will include refreshments, a variety of stalls, and a raffle. Prizes include seven days in an apartment in Cyprus, Vanilla gift bags, a Terracotta scarf, a Garden Gate voucher, an Etcetera ring and lots more.

Visitors should buy their tickets in advance from The Bull and Experience Hair Design in Sheep Street.

Tickets cost £5 and include a raffle ticket.
