A PHOTOGRAPHER who has taken pictures of stars including The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Marc Bolan is back in Rugby by popular demand.
Bill Zygmant is holding follow up exhibition of his iconic photographs at the new Verve Art Gallery in North Street.
The former Fleet Street photographer is exhibiting some of his finest images from the 60s and 70s for the next four weeks.
Rugby man Bill was a Fleet Street photographer in the ‘60s, specialising in pop, TV and films.
Bill said: “There are some very exciting photographs of the John Lennon and Yoko on show, Jimi Hendrix together photographs of other well known showbiz icons.
“I was fortunate to have been around at the time and to have met these iconic figures,” he said.
Bill has many famous fans including Robbie Williams, who fell in love with the pictures that covered his dressing room when he was performing in Dubai.
Respected Rugby group Dukes Jetty were at the preview night on Friday performing Beatles numbers and other tracks from the 60s.
“I always look forward to the opening of new exhibitions,” said Bill. “
Having Duke’s Jetty perform is brilliant and they said they were looking forward to it.”
Next month Bill will be hold a exhibition near Bristol and he’s also been offered a tour of the Canary Islands in some of the top galleries there.
“This is the first time I’ll be exhibiting in the westcountry,” Bill added.
“I hope lots of people come and take a look.”
