KATIE Taylor had a 12th birthday to remember after celebrating like a popstar on December 12, 2012.
Katie turned 12 yesterday (Wednesday) on the historic date of 12.12.12.
Katie’s mum Beci Clish said: “She was born in 2000 but we didn’t click then. It was a couple of years ago that we realised that we realised that she would be 12 on 12.12.12.”
Katie, who lives in Adams Street, Rugby, celebrated her birthday with her friends Mia, Kiera and Jessica on Tuesday night.
The girls went to a Roasted Recording Studio in Leicester for a popstar experience where they recorded a record and a video.
Beci said: “That was her main present, which we kept a surprise for her. Katie chose the song by Taylor Swift, We Are Never Getting Back Together. They had a really good time. They were really excited and like little children again. The CD sounds great and we’re waiting to get the video back.”
Other presents included a shopping spree at the weekend.
After a sleepover on Tuesday night after her popstar experience, Katie spent her birthday at Bilton School with her friends.
Beci said: “She’s never minded having a birthday this close to Christmas. We always put the decorations up after her birthday so we can celebrate her birthday and then have Christmas. And sometimes she gets bigger presents if she has them for joint Christmas and birthday.”
Katie’s younger brother Bradley, 8, even did her chores for her while she was out on Tuesday to say happy birthday.
Katie enjoyed another celebration with all her family at home last night.
Beci said: “It’s really special. It’s never going to happen again. We are very proud of Katie.”
Katie shares her special day with a number of famous people including Frank Sinatra, actress Jennifer Connelly, actor Bill Nighy and singer Dionne Warwick.
