One charity gave a helping hand to another after the Westham House Fund made a donation of £3,500 to the Hoskyn Centre at Hamilton House in Rugby.

The Westham House Fund is a charity offering grants to organisations involved in adult education in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Peter Reaney, treasurer of the fund, said: “We are very pleased to be able to assist the Hoskyn Centre in its very valuable work in the local community in Rugby.”

The Hoskyn Centre provides a day centre three days a week for older and less able people from Rugby and the surrounding areas.

Irene Moore, of the Hoskyn Centre, said: “The donation from the Westham House Fund will be used to refurbish a flat that will then be rented out to provide a regular income that in turn will enable the Hoskyn Centre to continue its work.”
