Box stolen from church in Birdingbury after robes removed


Thieves have stolen a box from a village church near Rugby - after removing its contents.

The incident happened between 12 noon on October 26 and 10.30am on October 29. Burglars entered St Leonard’s church, Birdingbury and stole a hardwood box. The box was kept in the vestry and all of the robes it contained were removed from the box and left neatly in a pile.

In a separate incident, at just after 7pm on 29 October the resident of a home in Rugby Road, Dunchurch heard a clanging noise outside and went to investigate. The resident then noticed that a bike had been stolen from behind some bins.
