West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Hillmorton Road in shortly before 3.15pm. Medics found the boy had no serious injuries but took him to hospital as a precaution.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said an emergency care practitioner attended in a rapid response vehicle along with an ambulance crew.
“The boy was assessed at the scene and was found to have no serious injuries,” he added.
“He was immobilised in case of a potential spinal injury and was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment and treatment.”
