Boys airlifted to hospital following school rugby game

TWO boys were flown to hospital this morning with serious injuries picked up in a school rugby match.

The boys were both playing in an inter-school’s event at the Old Leamingtonians Rugby Club in Bericote Road, and picked up serious injuries after what are described as two “awkward tackles” just before 11.45am.

The Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham in Worcestershire attended along with a senior paramedic officer and an ambulance crew.
