THE M6 has been closed since this morning after a lorry overturned.
Firefighters were called to the lorry on its side on the M6 at Ansty this morning (Thursday) at 11.45am.
A fire service spokesman said: “It is believed the lorry was caught by the wind as it went around the island. The driver of the vehicle was at the roadside on arrival, but crews remained on site to ensure the lorry was secure.”
Other emergency services also attended.
As a result of the accident the main southbound carriageway at the M69/M6 junction two is closed.
Traffic is being diverted around the junction and back on again, on M6 southbound at J2, M69 (Coventry).
