POLICE investigating a potential child abduction have issued a description of the stranger.

Warwickshire Police confirmed this afternoon that they are investigating a report of a suspicious incident which happened near to Boughton CE Junior School in Dunchurch at about 3.30pm yesterday (Wednesday).

A nine year old boy was approached by a man who said that the boy’s mother had asked him to pick him up from school. The boy did not know the male so ran back towards the school where he met his mother.

The man is described as black, about 6’ tall, aged 24-30, medium build with a round, unshaven face with a ring piercing in his right nostril.

He was wearing a black hooded top with the up up, blue crosshatch jeans and black shoes.

Police investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who recognises the description of the male or witnesses any suspicious activity.

Local officers are visiting the school to talk to children about “stranger danger” and providing reassurance in the area.

Witnesses or anyone with information can call police on 101.
