A summer garden party kicked off a busy few weeks for supporters of Bradby Club. It was hosted by Brenda Green, chairperson of the trustees, pictured here with the Mayor of Rugby, Cllr Sally Bragg.
Some 150 guests enjoyed afternoon tea provided free of charge by Chartwells.
Vanessa Adu and Amie Wildman of Costain Galliford Try, which is supporting the club this year, served on the Prosecco stall.
A spokesman said: “The intermittent showers of rain did not spoil the occasion and we were delighted to welcome the mayor.
“A group from the Rugby School Staff Orchestra played during the afternoon, adding to the relaxed and festive ambience of the event.”
The club continued its fundraising activities by holding a Curry Night at Omar’s of Dunchurch on July 14 which was a highly enjoyable occasion for 65 guests. On Saturday, July 30, it held one of its bi-monthly jumble sales at the club premises in East Union Street.
