Burglaries at homes in Rugby, Binley Woods and Monks Kirby

POLICE are warning residents about a number of burglaries in the Rugby borough in the last few weeks.

Between 5.30pm on June 17 and 10pm on 18 June burglars broke into a house in Vere Road, Rugby and stole two cameras and an MP3 player.

Between 9.20am and 1pm on June 29 burglars smashed a window at the back of a home in Courtleet Road, Binley Woods and entered the house.

Once inside, the offenders stole a camera and items of jewellery. The offenders also got into a shed in the garden and several other items were stolen.

Between 6.40am and 1pm on July 2 offenders smashed the glass in the UPVC back door and a rear window at a home in Hillmorton Road, Rugby. This activated the burglar alarm and the thieves ran off. Nothing appears to have been stolen.

Between 7 and 11pm on July 3 thieves attempted to get into a home in Coombe Drive, Binley Woods via the rear patio window and the kitchen window. Both attempts failed but a plant pot and a glass from the kitchen windowsill were found in the garden. Nothing appears to have been stolen.

During the night of July 2 into July offenders entered a home in Bond End, Monks Kirby and stole the keys to a BMW vehicle along with a mobile phone and other items.

The offenders then used the keys to steal the vehicle from the driveway.
