Buzz was very underweight and riddled with worms.

Di adopted Buzz from the RSPCA in June 2012, when he was three and he soon started to pile on the pounds.

Buzz started his Dengie Health Plan at a weight of 450kg in the summer of 2015 and in April 2016, he had achieved his healthy goal weight of 336kg.

“I found putting him on a diet really hard, especially as he’d nearly starved to death when he was young,” said Di.

“Now the hard work starts with maintaining his weight.”

Dengie launched the Fit Club to help educate horse owners about keeping their horses fit and healthy. After shedding a staggering 100kg, Buzz is hoping to be named Slimmer of the Year by the horse feed company.
