A stylish cafe bar and bistro that brings a taste of Paris to Rugby has received a top award.
Cafe Vin Cinq has been voted as the Rugby Advertiser’s Bar of the Year, beating off stiff competition from other great venues.
It’s an independent café-bar/bistro in High Street, Rugby.
Styled on the best Paris has to offer, the venue merges seamlessly from relaxing coffee stop to bustling lunch venue, elegant restaurant to stylish cocktail bar.
Speaking about the award, head mixologist Ian ‘Fizz’ Fišermanis said: “In a town full of so many excellent entertainment venues, it is indeed really humbling that we have been voted the best bar in Rugby.
“I cannot thank the entire team at Bar 25 and Cafe Vin Cinq enough for their hard and dedicated work. We stand proudly alongside the other great bars and pubs in town and congratulate them also.”
He said hearing Cafe Vin Cinq had received the most votes in the competition was ‘overwhelming’.
Ian added: “I am rarely in life speechless, but I am often proud.
“At Bar 25 we have created a team of incredible mixologists who are passionate about their work. It is a true joy to stand alongside these people and get paid for the privilege. The atmosphere of knowledge, fun and a dash of chic they have bought to the bar cannot be underestimated. I am immensely proud of them all, as always.
“To our customers and those who voted I thank you, and hope to see your faces again at our happy little bar. If you have never yet joined us at Bar 25 above Cafe Vin Cinq please do. We intend very much to live up to this title and our very high standards.
“From all of the team, and the bottom of our hearts at Cafe Vin Cinq, thank you.”
In its opening year the bistro has built an enviable reputation for good value, high quality food and wine within a stylish and convivial atmosphere.
The restaurant is split over two floors. On the ground floor bistro is a bustling Parisian style café bar with classic Bentwood furniture.
The first floor restaurant is more chateau-styled with leather high-back buttoned chairs and opulent chandeliers.
