Rugby’s Caldecott Park has the chance to be crowned the nation’s favourite.

The park secured the prestigious Green Flag Award for a sixth year in a row in July, putting it in the running for the People’s Choice Award.

The People’s Choice Award gives the public the chance to vote for Britain’s favourite park.

All 1,448 Green Flag Award winners have been entered for the award, and voting has now started.

Cllr Dr Mark Williams, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for sustainable environment, urged residents to support Caldecott Park by voting online.

“Rugby is rightfully proud of Caldecott Park and its record in the Green Flag Awards,” Cllr Williams said.

“The People’s Choice Award gives us a chance to spread the message about the park far and wide.”

To vote for Caldecott Park, visit and select ‘West Midlands’ on the interactive map.

Voting closes on 1 October. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on 9 October.

The Green Flag Awards aim to raise standards in parks and open spaces across the country.
