GYPSIES moved onto a nature reserve site in Coton Meadows this week.
The caravans and cars made their way down a bridleway off Tuthill Furlong in Coton Meadows earlier this week and have parked on a nature reserve.
A concerned resident who lives on the estate said: “They’ve driven down the bridleway because it’s wide enough for caravans. I rang the police but I’m not convinced it’s a priority for them.
“They are already messing up the beauty of the nature reserve.”
The resident said the nature reserve is used by lots of people on the estate including joggers and dog walkers, adding: “There’s a lovely little lake. People will feel intimidated to go there now.”
Warwickshire Police said the caravans parked on the nature reserve were reported to them at 6.20pm on Monday.A spokesman said: “Police are engaging in talks with the travellers on the land. Work is underway to find out who owns the land.”
