This national event sees volunteers from across the country unite to help others.

Ten members of staff and volunteers from WCAVA did a bag pack at ASDA to raise funds for local charity Hope 4’s night shelter.

We helped generous ASDA customers pack their bags for five hours and raised £345 in total. We’d like to thank all those who contributed.

Joyce Woodings, company secretary for Hope 4 said: “We are really grateful to WCAVA giving up their time to raise an amazing amount.

“Hope 4 is planning our sixth Winter Shelter which starts in seven local churches on December 1 and provides 15 places for homeless people in Rugby - so this donation will help us to make sure they are well-fed and warm over the winter.”

A cheque was presented at Hope 4’s centre on Newbold Road, where we found out that the night shelter also need men’s socks, underwear, sleeping bags and mats and warm coats for the winter.
