People in Rugby are invited to celebrate hidden gems as part of Community Centre Week.
It runs until Monday and the aim is to remind everyone how important community centres are to neighbourhoods.
Initially started by a group of centres in London, this year WCAVA wants to also take time out to highlight their importance.
They want community venues to fill out a short form to provide information about their venue, the regular activities which take place there and their contact details.
Leonie Yeend, funding and group development officer for Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action in Rugby, said: “We think this is an excellent opportunity to celebrate some of the wonderful community venues we are lucky enough to have in our county. WCAVA and Warwickshire County Council will be sharing information about venues including community centres, village halls and church halls across Rugby Borough throughout the week. We want to promote the range of services, activities and volunteering opportunities available to local residents at these venues.”
Centre details should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by the end of the week.
