Celebrations for award winning nurses in south Warwickshire
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Warwick Hospital, recently held the Woods Awards, which give staff the opportunity to vote for their nursing colleagues who they believe have made a positive difference to a patient’s experience or introduced procedures that benefit the trust.
In joint first place were Tamara Harries, ward manager on the Guy Ward at Warwick Hospital, and Maggie Murray, community matron for the ‘virtual ward’ - which provides community care outside of the hospital - in Leamington and Warwick.

Trust chief executive Glen Burley said: “The number and quality of nominations received for the Woods Awards this year was overwhelming. The trust has some fantastic nurses, who are dedicated to making a difference to our patients day in day out.”
