Centre spreads festive cheer

People in Rugby who are disadvantaged or alone do not need to spend this Christmas on their own.

The Benn Partnership Centre will once again host a community Christmas Day event.

Ian Southcott, who works at Cemex, said: “Cemex is delighted to once again support the Benn Partnership Centre Christmas Day lunch.

“We have been doing so for more than ten years and look forward to being able to help out for many years to come.”

The event will run from 10.30am to 4pm on Sunday, December 25 and will consist of games, a three course meal with turkey/ vegetarian option) and lots of fun for everyone.

Cllr Ramesh Srivastava, trustee at the centre, praised the Rugby firm for their generous donation, which helps the day go ahead.

“It is completely free and everyone is welcome,” he said.

“There is no need for people to be alone this Christmas. They are invited to join in the fun at Benn Partnership Centre.”

It’s on a first come first served basis as numbers are limited.

The Benn Partnership trustees would like to thank Cemex, Tesco, local businesses and volunteers for their support. BPC is a multi-cultural community centre, working in partnership with other organisations to deliver community-led services, including courses and activities.
