The 15 handsome men of Rugby were photographed during the run-up to the World Cup by local photographer Jamie Gray, producing 15 unique images.

Their fulsome beards were trimmed by the award-winning Matt Robinson of Mr Robinsons barbershop and were decorated with flowers by Sue Ainley of Garden Gate Flowers and then put on display throughout the tournament at the Garden Gate shop on Regent Street.

Money raised will go to homeless charity Hope 4 and the Matt Hampson Foundation, which helps people injured through sport.

The exhibition drew many favourable comments from locals and visitors alike, and the famous French national newspaper ‘Le Monde’ reviewed it saying it was ‘without doubt the most original photographic exhibition in the whole World Cup’.

The original images are now to be shown again at Rugby’s Art Gallery from Monday January 18 to February 27.

Damian Rees, pictured with Brendan and Matt, said: “Several of the pictures have been sold already but we want to sell all of them by the end of the exhibition with every penny going to the charities. Postcards of the images, in pack of 15, are also available for sale.

“We have raised about £700 so far but aim to raise at least £2,000 overall. With winter really setting in right now, our local homeless deserve as much support as we can give them.”
