BIRDINGBURY villagers are steaming ahead to prepare for this year’s country show.

The 2012 Birdingbury Country Show, due to take place on July 14 and 15, will include steam engines, vintage cars, motorbikes, tractors, military vehicles and lorries. There will also be entertainment and activities for children, live music and a beer tent.

This year’s event will raise money for the Special Care Baby Unit at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, Crohn’s and Colitis UK, Alzheimer’s Society, and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

In the last two years thousands of visitors helped raise more than £14,000 for charity.
