Break out your ballgowns and dust down your DJs for a charity ball in memory of much-loved Rugby woman Christine Addison.
The Summer Charity Ball is being held on Friday, July 15 to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Chrstine died from breast cancer in January last year aged 36.
She touched the hearts of hundreds of people during her life and helped raise thousands of pounds for others before she lost her brave fight.
Her twin sister Rachel Hoggins, who is one of the organisers of the ball, said: “I feel lost without Christine in my life; like a huge chunk of me has disappeared.
“I miss her amazing strength and positivity, her caring words and love filled hugs.”
Rachel, who has carried on the legacy of fundraising group Christine’s Crew, said life would never be the same without her sister.
“I am definitely not the same without her,” added Rachel.
“Our togetherness was so natural. I have good days and bad days.”
Christine’s twin knows she has to be strong and carry on.
“I want to make Christine proud of us all at Christine’s Crew for trying to continue with her legacy to help others going through cancer.”
The ball takes place at the Holiday Inn, London Road, Ryton, from 7pm - 1am. There’s a free bar from 8pm - midnight and the £55 ticket price includes three course dinner, table magician, Michael Buble tribute, DJ and raffle.
Rachel said: “Christine loved nothing more than having an excuse to go out to buy a beautiful dress, new shoes and accessories and looking her most beautiful.
“She would definitely light up the room with her presence and would have completely loved the occasion.”
Christine’s Crew has a target of £50,000. For tickets, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
