Children’s book is the theme when all the fun of the fair comes to Dunchurch Fete

It is that time of year when a brilliant extravaganza comes to the normally sleepy village of Dunchurch in the form of the annual fete on Saturday, June 20.

The MC on the day, Mike Judge, will officiate over the mayhem - there is a fun fair, the popular BBQ, beer tent, tea stall, fancy dress competition, side shows, stalls, a circus skills clown and many other great things.

Music for the day is provided by the Lawrence Sheriff Big Band, the Dunchurch Band and other great performers. Other interesting things to see and do include Alpaca’s, Donkey rides and have-a- go archery.

The theme for this year is Children’s Books.

Cheer on the colourful procession that starts from Dunchurch Junior School at 1.30pm, travels along the Southam Road and into the sportsfield at about 1pm where the fete will be officially opened this year by ‘The Stig of Dunchurch’.

The fete raises many thousands of pounds every year that all goes to local good causes so if you want to find out more or have a stall visit
