Children’s author shares key to success
HORROR and suspense author Steve Voake visited Trinity School this month to share advice with pupils about writing their own terrifying tales.
The award-winning children’s novelist gave a talk to pupils from years 7, 8 and 9, which combined light-hearted anecdotes and helpful tips about creating their own stories and what happens when a book is published.
He also judged a short story competition and signed copies of his books, which include Blood Hunters and the Dreamwalkers Child.
Voake’s books have been published all over the world and he is also a senior lecturer for writing for young people at Bath Spa University.
