Children’s ward supported by shoppers

SHOPPERS at Asda in Leamington have voted to support the children’s ward at Warwick Hospital - and now the supermarket has donated £200 to the cause.

The store’s green token scheme gives customers the chance to nominate a cause for Asda to support by dropping tokens they receive after shopping into their chosen charity box.

The majority of shoppers during the past few months voted to support the MacGregor children’s ward at the hospital, which will spend the money on buying new children’s chairs for its playroom and sensory toys for children with special needs receiving care on the ward.
