Regent Place in Rugby is a sea of umbrellas this morning as Christians from across the town gather on Good Friday.
Crowds are singing in the rain before processing around Rugby for the walk of witness.
The Rev Diane Bussey carried a large cross with a group from Christ Church in Brownsover.
“It only took about half an hour and the rain didn’t put us off,” she said.
“I think it’s great to see so many people here today.”
Linda Hartley attended the walk with her daughter Maddie and granddaughter Victoria, aged two and a half.
She said: “It’s the day of the year when nothing else matters.
“Good Friday is very important to me and I attend the walk of witness every year with my family when I can. The atmosphere is really lovely and gives us the chance to remember that Jesus died for our sins.”
After the procession through the Clock Towers, hot cross buns and refreshments are served in St Andrew’s Church.
