Visitors to Rugby’s Benn Partnership Centre were treated to a free Christmas dinner on December 25.

The centre hosts a free Christmas meal every year for members of the community who would otherwise be alone.

Rugby and Bulkington MP Mark Pawsey delivered catering supplies generously donated by Bunzl Catering Supplies.

The centre is on the corner of Railway Terrace and Craven Road.

Their Christmas meal is open to all members of the community in need regardless of age, race, gender or religious belief.

Mark said: “The Benn Partnership is an inspirational local charity and their annual Christmas dinner means a tremendous amount to the community.

“Many people found themselves alone for a number of reasons this Christmas. The Benn Partnership offers not only a Christmas meal, but also the company and friendship that is at the heart of what makes Christmas such a special time of year.”

The MP has supported the centre before.

He added: “I was always very happy to be able to support the Benn Partnership when I ran my business here in Rugby.

“It’s great to see them supported by so many local businesses and I am always very pleased to be able to support them in whatever way I can.”

Rebekka Clarkson, centre manager at the Benn Partnership Trust, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to all those who support our Christmas meal through their donations and without them, it would not be possible to do this.

“The donations from Bunzl Catering Supplies complement the table settings we have received from Petals 4 U. We’re really appreciative of the consistent support Mark has shown to the Benn Partnership.”
