Coach shows you can follow your dreams

To kick start Anti-Bullying Week, the children at Boughton Leigh Junior School had a special visitor on Monday morning.

Annie Zaidi was the winner of the Hellen Rollason prize for inspiration award at the 2015 Sportswoman of the Year awards.

She is a Football Association BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) elite coach mentee.

Annie delivered an inspirational assembly on how she followed her dreams and passion for football despite many barriers she faced due to being a Muslim, female coach.

The year three children thoroughly enjoyed an extra football session with her, producing comments like: “I enjoyed playing with Coach Annie. She has inspired me to follow my dreams.”

Coach
