Greenfingered residents at one of New Direction’s homes for learning and physically disabled people have won the charity’s annual gardening competition.
All services and homes run by New Directions were encouraged to take part and those living at Vicarage Road succeeded in taking this year’s top spot, receiving praise from the judges for their impressive use of colour and attention to detail.
Competition organiser and New Directions manager, Laura Nisbet, said: “The people who use our services have literally reaped what they have sown in this challenging gardening competition. Well done to Vicarage Road who have surpassed our expectations with their impressive creative and gardening techniques.”
