Crash near Wellesbbourne

A WOMAN had to be cut out of her car following a crash near Wellesbourne on Sunday.

Two ambulances, a community first responder and a senior paramedic officer were called to the A429 in Ettington at around 5pm to find that two vehicles had been in collision.

One of the drivers, a woman in her 60s, suffered suspected neck injuries and was treated at the scene. Firefighters cut her our of her car by removing the roof and she was then immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar and transferred by ambulance to Warwick Hospital for further treatment.

The passenger in the car, a man also believed to be in his 60s, suffered minor injuries in the crash. The man was also taken to the same hospital by ambulance for further treatment.

The driver of the second car, a man in his 20s, suffered multiple minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
