6'3 tall man attacks teenager during attempted mugging in Rugby

A woman in her late teens was walking down the road when she was approached an unknown man who attempted to snatch her handbag.

A struggle ensued before the woman was assaulted to the face.

The offender, who made off from the scene empty-handed in the direction of Murray Road, is described as male, of medium build, around 6’3” tall and wearing a long dark coat with his face covered.

Enquiries are currently ongoing but we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time or has dash cam footage of the incident.
