Burglars targeted two homes around the corner from each other in Rugby on the same morning – with cash stolen from one.
Thieves used a rock to smash a small rear window of a house in Manor Road between 8.40am and 12.30pm on Wednesday (March 29).
The offenders then reached in to open the window latch and entered the house.
They carried out a tidy search of the house before making off with a quantity of cash.
A house in Bath Street was also targeted with offenders damaging the front door lock in an attempted burglary between 9am and noon.
Fortunately the thieves failed to get inside the premises and nothing was stolen.
