Driver who hit a telegraph pole in Kenilworth has been charged with drink driving

A driver who hit a telegraph pole in Kenilworth has been charged with drink driving.

The 39-year-old woman from Kenilworth, who has not been named by police, drove into the pole in Thornbury Avenue on Saturday evening.

In total, three people arrested and charged over the weekend on drink driving offences.

The other two cases were:

- A 39-year-old man from Stratford was arrested, charged and jailed for 28 weeks after pleading guilty to failing to provide a specimen, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

He was arrested after he drove his car into a ditch on Birmingham Road, Stratford in the early hours of Sunday morning.

- A 48-year-old man from Grendon was arrested and charged with drink driving following a collision in Holly Lane, Atherstone on Sunday evening.
