Several lorries were inspected at the Rugby truck stop in Lilbourne on the A5 as part of a campaign to improve driving standards and to tackle criminal activity on the roads.
From 9am to 1pm on Tuesday November 17, 46 heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) were stopped and taken to a check site where they were inspected.
Although most of them were not breaking any laws, some offences were discovered, such as MOT offences, brake defects and exceeding safe weight limits.
Drivers were given safety advice and were also spoken to about crime prevention during the inspections.
PC James Graham from Rugby said: “The operation went well and provided us with the ability to police our roads while also working with our partners and engaging with drivers.”
