Man fined £200 for breaching Covid rules by travelling to Kenilworth for a Pokemon hunt

A man has been fined £200 tonight (Tuesday) for travelling to Kenilworth - as part of a Pokemon hunt.

This is the latest fine handed out by Warwickshire Police to people breaching the strict Covid lockdown rules.

A police spokesperson said: "Travelling from Bedworth to Kenilworth in the late evening to “Pokemon Hunt” is not particularly local and it definitely isn’t essential.

"I posted last night that we will engage and explain where we can but we will enforce blatant breaches of the lockdown and this is exactly what happened this evening."

A £200.00 fine has been issued to an adult male.
