A woman was assaulted by two men who then stole the motorcycle parked in her driveway.

The victim, who is in her 30’s, sustained minor injuries to her arm and head.

The incident took place in Binley Woodsat approximately 6pm on September 23, and involved two men on a motorcycle who entered Heather Road and stopped outside a property halfway down the road.

The victim was then assaulted by the two offenders outside the property, who stole the keys and motorcycle parked on the drive. They both were seen heading together onto the A428 at speed.

Detective Constable Gareth Unett, from Rugby CID, said: “Thankfully, crimes such as this are rare, however this was a particularly nasty incident that occurred in a busy residential area during the early evening.

“Both bikes have made off at a high speed along the A428, possibly towards Coventry.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who saw two bikes travelling together in the area of Binley Woods at the time of the incident, or who can provide us with any information at all about this robbery”.
