Painting worth tens of thousands stolen from train travelling between Rugby and Crewe

British Transport Police are today, March 19, releasing images of a painting that was taken after its owner left it on a train at Milton Keynes.

The painting was left on the train at around 4pm on Thursday, January 23.

The painting is called ‘Blue Harbour’ and was painted in 1954 by Leamington artist Terry Frost.

It is valued at tens of thousands of pounds.

The service its owner was on was travelling from London Euston to Crewe.

It was wrapped in brown cardboard packaging and it is believed to have been removed from the train somewhere between Rugby and Crewe.
