Pair charged after Wentworth Road disturbance

TWO men have been charged with aggravated burglary after a man was stabbed during a disturbance in Wentworth Road last week.

The incident that occurred at 9.20am on Thursday August 18. Police have charged eighteen year old Tymias Oliver Harris of Steele Street, Rugby, and nineteen year old Mason Paul Wrighton of Nelson Way, Rugby, with aggravated burglary. They have both been remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 2 September after appearing at Nuneaton Magistrates Court on Monday.

A 17 year old male arrested on suspicion of assault and a forty-five year old female arrested in connection with the investigation have been released on police bail pending further enquiries. Officers have released two other men with no further police action to be taken. The victim was rushed to hospital with a punctured lung, but is now recovering.
