Pedestrian struck by car in Rugby following altercation

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Rugby today, July 15, following what police believe may have been an altercation.

The incident occurred at around 1.30pm, just before the Newton Manor Lane roundabout on the northbound stretch of the A426 Leicester Road.

It is believed that an altercation began on the southbound carriageway and spilled onto the central reservation.

Rugby Police said the pedestrian is in a stable condition.

Any witnesses, or anyone with have dash cam footage of the incident or the event prior is asked to call 101 and quote incident reference 174 15/07/20.
