Traffic officers joined forces with Rugby patrol officers and police dog Pyro and his handler to end the escape attempt.

The two men ran through woodland before hiding in bushes in the grounds of a garden centre.

Pyro's keen nose soon tracked them down but one of the men decided to try to further decline the offer of a cell - resulting in Pyro deploying his fangs.
