Police investigate after burglary at Rugby home

A Rugby man arrived home to find a gang of men on his drive.

Police are now investigating the incident on April 16 in Overslade Lane.

A man arrived home at 4.30pm and saw a man standing on his drive. As he pulled up his vehicle on to the drive two other men appeared and they all ran off.

It was later discovered that the lock on the back door of the garage had been forced open. Burglars had got into the house through the garage and stole two drills.

Police believe the two incident may be connected.

Officers are also investigating two attempted burglaries in Glebe Crescent and Bilton Road.

A home in Glebe Crescent was targeted during the night of April 9 and 10. A patio door was forced open but they failed to get inside and nothing was stolen.

At some point before 5pm on April 11 burglars tried to get into a house in Bilton Road, Rugby after climbing over a gate. They tried to get in through a dog flap but couldn’t so they tried to force the back door, causing minor damage.

They failed to get inside the house and nothing was stolen.
