Police seize huge haul of spirits and trainers after stopping car linked to shoplifting in Rugby

An array of goods were seized after police stopped a car which had been linked to shoplifting offences in Rugby.

On the evening of Saturday, July 4, officers from Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) Warwickshire stopped a Vauxhall Corsa on the M40 Warwick Services Southbound.

Almost 70 bottles of spirits, including brandy, whisky and bourbon were discovered in the car - along with pairs of trainers, t-shirts and rucksacks.

Three males were arrested and the Vauxhall was recovered.
