Public-spirited farmer used his tractor to try to stop thieves in Church Lawford from escaping

Police are trying to track down a public-spirited farmer who tried to use his tractor to stop thieves escaping.

At around 2.55pm on Saturday, June 20, a Vauxhall Astra with two men inside pulling up to a location on Rugby Road, Church Lawford.

One man got out of the car and stole some power tools.

The victim of the theft reports that a passing farmer then tried to block in the Vauxhall with his red tractor.

Police would now like to get in touch with the farmer as they believe he might have information that could help officers identify the thieves.
