A resident was attacked as they stopped thieves from taking an agricultural vehicle during an incident in Stockton on Monday, April 26.

A spokesperson from Warwickshire Police said: "Between around 7.30pm and 8pm, it’s reported two or three people attempted to steal an agricultural vehicle from a rural location.

"The offenders were disturbed by an occupant, and they then assaulted him to the face, causing injuries.

"It’s believed the offenders then left the scene in a dark-coloured 4x4. Nothing was stolen."

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area or has any information on the offence, including possible CCTV or dashcam footage, is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 345 of 26 April 2021.
